The program for machining parts on a control engraving and milling machine is usually much more complex than that used on a regular machine tool. The process specification used on a regular engraving and milling machine is actually just a process card, and the cutting tools, cutting parameters, tool paths, and steps within the process used on the machine tool are often selected by the operator themselves. And CNC engraving and milling machines generally use high-speed electric spindles for machining, which will generate a large amount of heat during the machining process. This requires cooling the spindle, so is it better to cool the CNC engraving and milling machine with water cooling or oil cooling? Traditional carving and milling machines generally use water cooling, which can easily cause rusting inside the spindle and requires frequent water replacement during use, making it very troublesome. The cooling method of a water-cooled machine usually relies on fan air to cool, and without a compressor, the spindle temperature cannot be accurately controlled. The oil cooling method is different. It controls the temperature of the coolant inside through an industrial dedicated oil cooler, and achieves the cooling effect by circulating it into and out of the spindle. This method is beneficial for protecting the spindle from rusting, and the replacement cycle of the coolant inside the oil cooler is very long, usually more than once a year
